The London Legal Walk

On Monday, a team of brave (and energetic) walkers from Wainwright & Cummins set out to walk ten kilometres to raise money for the London Legal Support Trust. This trust raises funds for free legal advice charities across London and the South East and believes in the crucial principle of access to justice as a cornerstone of our society.

Four walkers from Wainwright & Cummins completed the whole 10km walk: partners Jonathan Cummins and Rod Jones and solicitors Rozi Brown and Charlotte Image. In-house barrister Kathleen Mulhern deserves a mention for completing most of the walk but then heading off to a ‘prior engagement’ – or perhaps to have a drink and rest her legs! Partner Andrew Wainwright turned up at the end of the walk to the great joy of the walkers, as he was carrying confit duck burgers as a reward for all of the effort put in.

It was a great event, with close to ten thousand walkers completing the whole 10km and hundreds of thousands of pounds raised to support access to justice. Several eminent figures walked including Lord Neuberger of the Supreme Court – sporting a fetching ‘Team Supreme’ t-shirt – Lord Dyson, Master of the Rolls, Dominic Grieve MP, and Tom Robinson, the eighties musician and social justice activist  performed a set at the Law Society.

Our brave team in exceedingly stylish t-shirts.
